How to Downgrade iOS 4.1 to Older Version
Upgraded your iPhone 4 to iOS 4.1? However if you’ve found things run un-smoothly, you can downgrade iOS 4.1 back to iOS 4.0.1, iOS 4.0, and iOS 3.1.x version. Below are leaked steps how to downgrade iOS 4.1 to earlier version of iOS runs on iPhone 4, iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 3G, and iPod Touch (3G and 2G). This guide to downgrade iOS 4.1 is written as simple as possible. Why the iOS 4.1 downgrade process made simple? This is because by using TinyUmbrella app so it will no need to edit any Hosts file.
Note before starting to downgrade iOS 4.1:
1- iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 2G (MC) users MUST have SHSH blobs saved for 4.0.1/4.0/3.1.3/3.1.2/older firmware in order to downgrade.
2- If iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 2G (MC) users do NOT have SHSH blobs saved for an older firmware, they can NOT downgrade unless Apple is signing the Firmware.
3- If your SHSH blobs saved on Cydia server, you have to download it first.
Steps to Save SHSH Blobs from Cydia server
- Connect your device, Fire up the TinyUmbrella (Download Link below-Step 1) and Check mark the Advanced Options.
- Select your device, firmware (the one for which you’ve SHSH saved at Cydia; 4.0, 3.1.3 or older) and Cydia as Location.
- Hit the save My SHSH button. that’s it.
Steps to Downgrade iOS 4.1 to Earlier iOS version:
2- Download iOS .ipsw file you want
[iOS 4.0.1 - iOS 4.0 - iOS 3.1.3 - iOS 3.1.2]
3- Put your iPhone into DFU Mode
4- iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G (Non-MC) skip to step 5. iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 2G (MC) users: Run TinyUmbrella >> Hit the Display SHSH button to confirm that downloaded SHSH blobs has been cached by TinyUmbrella for 3.1.3 or 3 >> Then hit the Start TSS Server button.
5- Open iTunes >> Hold down the Shift (Windows)/Alt (Mac) key and hit the Restore button >> Select the downloaded firmware (from Step 2) and let the restore process complete.
6- iTunes will bring up error 1015, 1013 or 1011 message. Don’t worry, it’s normal.
7- On TinyUmbrella windows, click [Kick Device Out of Recovery] button right below the Start TSS Server button.
8- You’ve successfully downgraded your iPhone/iPod Touch firmware.

Man when I press restore and then come the windows from error, in the tinyumbrella don’t give the option to press “kick device out of recovery”
what can i do??
tried it twice, messed up once, then the second time followed the instruction got no error from iTunes and now I have version 4.0 :)

ik heb geen shsh blobs opgeslagen voor 4.1 kan ik hem dan ook nog downgraden of niet???
en zo niet kan ik dan iemand anders zijn shsh blobs gebruiken voor mijn iphone 4 die dat wel heeft opgeslagen???
